Beauford "Pete" Thomas Jr.

Beauford "Pete" Thomas Jr., a lifelong resident of Berkeley County, passed away peacefully in his birthplace on October 9, 2024, at the age of 83. Son of the late Beauford and Janie Dupree Thomas, Pete was a cherished husband, father, brother, and grandfather whose dynamic spirit and kindred soul left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Margaret Purvis Thomas; son, David Thomas and his wife Luann; daughters, Marsha and Tina; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry Thomas, and sister, Geraldine Taylor.

Pete was builder, contributing his expertise to the construction of several Berkeley County schools and also the proud owner of Pete's Wrecker Service. He was the epitome of a "good-ole-country boy" from Macedonia, known for his unwavering love of life and the outdoors. He had an inventive mind, often creating tasks just for the pleasure of being outside. His passions included nurturing flowers and spending time with his adored dog, Shadow.
