Barry Anthony Malasky

Barry Anthony Malasky,82, of Bonneau, widower of Bonnie Smith Malasky, died at home on Sunday, July 30, 2023. He was born on July 5, 1941, in Pennsburg, Pa., the son of  Anthony "Tony" Malasky and Arlene Schlicher Malasky.

"Ski", as Barry was called, entered the US Navy after graduation from high school, serving during the Cuban Missile Crisis. After leaving the Navy he continued a long life on the water, serving as shrimp boat captain and commercial fisherman for most of his life.

He is survived by 1 son- Joey Malasky of Bonneau: daughter- Erica Malasky, also of Bonneau; 2 grandchildren- Bradon Malasky and Rhiannon"Rio" Malasky and her fiance', Austin.

A memorial service will be held at Russell Funeral Chapel, Sunday, August 6, 2023, at 2 o'clock. The family will receive friends for one hour prior, beginning at 1 o'clock.
