Arthur B Metcalf

Arthur B. Metcalf, 82, of Moncks Corner, husband of Nettie P. Metcalf, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014, in a St. Stephen nursing home.

Mr. Metcalf was born March 22, 1932, in Boise, Idaho, a son of Charles A. Metcalf and Alma Louise Brumback Metcalf.

He was an U.S. Army veteran and was a carpenter. He was a Mason.

Surviving in addition to his wife, are; daughters – Jane Lynch of Moncks Corner; Joyce Matthews of Bonneau; Bea Williams of Knoxville, TN; Robin Hilton of Bettie, TX; Dora Lore, of Williamstown, NJ; and Michelle Benson of Alcolu, SC; sons – Arthur Metcalf, Jr., of Woodbury, NJ; Mark Mitchum of Swansea, SC; and Marvin Lee of Florida; two special nephews – Fred Dohner and Alan Dohner of PA. He was preceded in death by daughters – Cindy and Rebecca Metcalf.

A memorial service in Mr. Metcalf’s honor will be held at Cordesville First Baptist Church, Saturday afternoon, April 26, 2014, at 1 o’clock. RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, MONCKS CORNER, is in charge of arrangements.
