Aileen Elma Forte Cannon

Aileen Elma Forte Cannon, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2025, at the age of 92. She was born on November 15, 1932, in Berkeley County, the daughter of Allen F. Forte and Elma Hood Forte. Aileen devoted her life to helping those in need, spending many years of her career as a home health care nurse, where she touched the lives of countless families with her compassion and kindness.

Aileen had been member of Smyrna United Methodist Church. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, inspiring those around her with her unwavering commitment to helping others. She enjoyed cooking, often sharing delicious meals with her family,

She leaves behind a loving family, including her son, Louis "Bubba" DuPree and his wife Beth, and her daughter, Teresa Cannon. Aileen was cherished by her ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and one step-great-granddaughter. Additionally, she is survived by her daughter-in-law, Linda Dupree.

Aileen was predeceased by her husband, M.C. Cannon, and her parents. She was also preceded in death by three sons, Harry Dupree, James Dupree, and Allen Dupree.

There will be a private graveside service.
