Elma Louise Mills 82 of Macedonia, SC wife of the late Harvey C. Mills went home to be with the Lord on the morning of January 4th, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her loved ones.
Elma Mills was born ('cross the river) in Williamsburg county on April 4th, 1941 to the late Lawerence Morris and Sarah Ellen (Tisdale) Morris. She was raised in Millwood and loved her siblings and hometown.
In Jamestown, SC while working at the wool mill she met the love of her life and got married three weeks later. They were married for 57 years and lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed cooking, woodworking, and gardening; In her younger days she loved motorcycle trips with her husband and friends. She also loved showing Tennessee walking horses. She enjoyed the sport so much that while her husband was on the road working she loaded up Ebony's Red Robin into the horse trailer herself, went to the show, and won 1st place. Both Elma and her husband continued their adventures until the birth of their son in 1981; that is when she found her true calling, Motherhood. She spent the next few decades creating new memories and adventures with her son and eventually her grandchildren as well. She was nuturing, loving, patient, and kind. Her smile would light up a room, her laugh was contagious, and she was beautiful inside and out.
