Frances Ham Starnes

Frances "Sissy" Alberta Ham Starnes 78, of Cross, SC passed away on December 28, 2018.  She was born in Charleston, SC on October 15, 1940 to the late Albert Percival Ham II and Frances Josephine Dixon Ham Walker.

  Frances was a former secretary for the Berkeley County School District, Corporate Secretary for the Westbury Trucking Company and was currently employed as a book keeper for Ronnie’s Shell Stations.  She was an active member and Treasurer of the Friendship United Methodist Church in Cross, SC. 

She is survived by her sons, Paul B. Starnes and Lonnie M. Starnes Jr. of Moncks Corner, daughter Teresa L. Starnes Garrett of Harleyville, SC, Sister Lucretia Ham Clark of Charleston, seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  Frances was preceded in death by her former husband Lonnie M. Starnes, Stepfather David Earl Walker, Brothers Donald F. Ham and Albert P. Ham III.

Her funeral service will be held at Russell Funeral Chapel, Friday January 4, 2019, at 12 noon. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Gardens, Charleston, SC. The family will receive friends at Russell Funeral Chapel, Thursday evening, January 3, 2019 from 5 to 7 o'clock.
