Donna Cote Kerns

Donna Faye Cote Kerns, 63, wife of 28 years to Richard Lee Kerns, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2018.

Donna was born July 29, 1955 in Charleston, a daughter of Paul Albert Cote and Etta Faye Grimes Cote.

Very proud to have obtained her associates degree in business administration, Donna was a successful office manager in the commercial electrical field.

A loving wife and mother, Donna was also a devoted friend, she held her family and friends very dear to her heart. She made everyone feel special by sending only Hallmark cards all year around, for all occasions. Her grandchildren were the recipients of many Hallmark animated collectables that they will cherish. She enjoyed crafts and being in her kitchen cooking, she collected salt and pepper shakers, indicative of her, and had over 100 sets in her collection. It was important to Donna that everyone got The Word, so she shared an Episcopal devotion on her Facebook page each day. She enjoyed life to the full and will be sadly missed by her family, friends and by Hallmark.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter- Kristie Faye Wells and her husband, Jay, of Pineville; a son- William Andrew Holmes of Clearwater, Fla; four grandchildren- Kara Satterfield and her husband, Zach; Dustin Holmes; Drew Holmes and Jaylin Wells; two great grandchildren- Vivian Satterfield and Alyce Holmes; three brothers- Richard Cote; Randall Cote and his wife Jackie; Robert Cote and his wife, Cathy; two sisters- Debra Peck and her husband, David and Darlene Donahue; two half- sisters- Cheryl Wolman and Carol Logan.

A memorial service will be held at Russell Funeral Chapel, Thursday afternoon, December 13, 2018, at 2 o’clock. A reception will immediately follow at Marrington at Cobblestone Club House, 201 Village Stone Circle, Summerville, SC 29486. The family will receive friends at Russell Funeral Chapel from 1 o’clock until the hour of service.
