Catherine (Castle) Clark

Catherine Castle Clark, 100, of Moncks Corner, widow of Thomas Edward Clark passed away Monday February 18, 2019.

Catherine was born April 2, 1918 in New Hope, Alabama a daughter of John William Castle and Flossie Mae Craft Castle.

A member of Gethsemane Baptist Church, Catherine was a Godly woman who believed in working hard and did so her entire life. She enjoyed quilting and made quilts for many famous gospel singers through the years. She loved gardening, both flowers and vegetables. She was a good cook with a great sense of humor and an appreciative heart. She will be sadly missed.

Surviving are two daughters- Lenora Pfingstag of Escondido, Ca and Patricia Dotts of Goose Creek; a son- John A. Clark of Moncks Corner; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Catherine was predeceased by a son- Rodney T. Clark; two sisters- Ruby Glass and Helen Ford; three brothers- Jessie, Ivan and John Castle.

Her funeral service will be held at Russell Funeral Chapel, Thursday February 21, 2019 at 2 o’clock. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406. The family will receive friends at the chapel from 1 o’clock until the hour of service.
