Beverly “Delores” Ard Murrell of Moncks Corner passed away Friday, January 3 at MUSC. She was the wife of James “Jim” Murrell.
Delores was born Sept 20,1942 in Greeleyville, SC. She was the daughter of Ervin & Edythe Ard.
She graduated in 1961 from Murray Vocational School and worked as a cosmetologist for 20 years. Delores also owned Jeannie’s Beauty Shop, Tee Pee Lounge, Jimbo’s Restaurant & Gameroom, and Goldfinger Pawnshop. She enjoyed ceramics, collecting antiques, jewelry and she loved to laugh. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her daughter, Tammy Brinson & her husband Richard of Moncks Corner, a stepdaughter Carol Sangston & her husband Scott of Trabuco Canyon California. Five grandchildren Whitney Brinson, Seth Brinson, Kennedy Brinson, Ashton Caldwell all of Moncks Corner and Jimmy Yaji of San Diego, CA. Also surviving are her two sisters Karen Harris & her husband Bobby of Mt Pleasant and Ellen Smith of Moncks Corner. Delores had 4 nieces and a nephew that were very special to her: Heather Gorchyca, Krystal Smith, Kelly Harris and Trey Harris. Delores was predeceased by her parents.
A memorial service will held at Russell Funeral Chapel Friday evening January 10, 2020 at 6 o'clock. The family will receive friends at the chapel from 5 o'clock until the hour of service.
