Art Mullinax

William Art Mullinax, 47, of Moncks Corner, a pickle line 2 technician at Nucor Steel and husband of Paula Brown Mullinax, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2019 in an automobile accident in Berkeley County.

Art was born September 29, 1971 in Berkeley County, a son of Cindy Tanner Mullinax and Andrew L. Mullinax, Sr.

A loving husband and father, Art was a Berkeley High School graduate and "the hardest working man you ever saw". He loved his Carolina Gamecocks and going to numerous games. He enjoyed going to the mountains to visit the cold springs and wood working with his son; All of his family members have received handmade wooden items that he made just for them. Art was a kind and generous man, if anyone needed anything, he would help without hesitation. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

Surviving in addition to his wife Paula of 27 years, are a son- Hunter William Mullinax and his girlfriend, Brooklyn Weis; his mother and step-father- Cindy Mullinax and Richard Bystrzycki; father and step mother- Andy and Sandy Mullinax; step brothers- Casey Bystrzycki; James Gregory and his wife, Kearney; step sister- Breck Ensor and her husband, Drew; aunt- Grace Bays; cousins- Sara Evans, Tracy Tanner, Dennis Tanner and Kevin Mizzell; in-laws- Ronnie and Dianne Brown and Nina and Gerald Clark. He was predeceased by a brother- Andrew L. Mullinax, Jr.

His funeral service will be held at Russell Funeral Chapel, Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 12 noon. The family will receive friends at the chapel from 10:30 until the hour of service.   

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tn. 38105 or the charity of one’s choice.
